What is your new Pepper Spray made from?

OC –Oleoresin Capsicum, OC is an inflammatory agent that is made from hot cayenne peppers.  Once it is sprayed into someone’s eyes it will produce severe burning, restrict breathing, create temporary blindness and cause disorientation.   The instant effects of your Pepper Spray will normally last between fifteen (30) minutes to one (1) hour.  Hopefully, providing you with enough time to get away from any danger and get help.  Pepper Spray is non-lethal but very effective when used properly.

How should you use your new Pepper Spray?

You should know how to use your pepper spray.  It is important that you practice a few times.  You may want to practice outside of the house in an area without any people.  You don’t want to accidentally have the pepper spray go airborne and affect anyone.  Look over your new Pepper Spray and notice how the canister is designed especially the nozzle.  Caution:  before you do any practicing, be certain that the wind is not blowing back at you.  The wind must be at your back.  Once you determine the direction of the wind and are sure that you are ready to practice, simply hold your Pepper Spray out in front of you, aim and push down on the lever.  By practicing you will discover the average distance that your pepper spray will travel. 

If you ever need to use your Pepper Spray, it is best to aim the canister at the eyes and face of attacker and give a 2 to 3 second blast while moving backwards away from the threat.  Do not hold the canister out in front of you too far because that the attacker may be able to get the canister away from you.
